It is easy to dismiss the effort, after all the world is a big place and there is so much need. Money is always a blessing, but you can also give of your time. In fact, there are some amazing opportunities to work with international organizations helping disadvantaged people. Christmas is all about giving. You put a lot of effort into finding that perfect present to delight your loved ones, anticipating their joy and happiness as they open them. Christmas is also the ideal opportunity to give back. You can help those less fortunate and contribute to making the world a better place this year.
AT FORTY FIVE has put together a list of seven international organizations that have holiday campaigns that benefit the women and children of the world. They have branches/projects around the world. We have noted where their head office is located. This article is to inform you of a range of opportunities to support women and is not a solicitation and the organization has not been vetted.

It is hard to imagine as we sit in our cozy homes that modern-day slavery exists. Indeed, a staggering 40 plus million people in the world are being exploited with no means of control over their own being trapped without a choice. Almost 3/4 of those are vulnerable women and girls being trafficked for labor, sex, and forced marriages. Shocking is that this is occurring even in developed countries like the UK (10,000 potential victims in 2019), US (403,000 in 2016), Canada (17,000 in 2016) (figures from Globalslaveryindex.org)
Anit-Slavery has projects around the world, working with local organizations to advocate for laws against slavery and to help those in need.
