Are you defiant? It seems women have been “accepting what they can and challenging the rest” since the beginning of time. I know I dutifully followed the course laid out for polite young women. Yet, I struggled to break free and liberate my own unique spirit. I found the key when I recognized defiance could be a constructive force rather than destructive.
This positive defiance allowed me to challenge the negative stereotypes and self-defeating behaviors keeping me from uncovering my own unique essence. Coupled with the ancient Chinese philosophy of Taoism – teaching acceptance of the changes occurring naturally in our lives – my Tao and defiant philosophy now carries me through the ever-evolving path of life with joy and vitality.
My desire to share what I have learned became the motivation behind writing Tao of the Defiant Woman. I sincerely hope my words help you find your unique strengths as it did me. Remember, while facing life’s challenges don’t lose the woman you are meant to be.
