Good Night Day 5

Sooo India met Guatemala today kinda. In a new type of cultural exchange. The Hindu festival of Holi sees everyone tossing powdered colour at one another. Here in Guatemala it was taken to another level when the wet paint started to fly! Fun day which also saw us visit the village of El Salitrillo where three of the Mayan workers live. They opened their doors to us, so humbling.

We are at Day 5 and so proud to be part of Team STIMMA returning to Guatemala to finish the School of Hope. Coincidence it’s another stellar group? I think not when led by Linsay Buss, Joey Schuster and Becky Pagett. Our lovely hostess Rita Oliverio-Doppenberg not only looks after us but captures the work day as well! The two areas of focus are cement and painting, oh and getting my achy body out of bed in the morning.

It is not too late to make a contribution to support this school. See here.
