It is time to think about our fall wardrobe. It is difficult to have the perfect wardrobe but your wardrobe should not only represent your vision and creativity but also be tailored to your lifestyle. Consider the persona you want to present to the world. You want your style to reflect your personality, but it also has to make sense in your field of work, your overall lifestyle, the city you live in, and also aligned with your long-term goals.
If there was a message from this year’s Fall shows, it is that fashion is changing. With the #MeToo movement and the dominating world of Politics, the world is also changing.
This season seems to be less about the garment and more about the person inside it. Clothing that lets women feel strong. Short dresses that make you feel powerfully sexy, or a shirt that turns up your mood, assertive shoulders, and electric-hued animal prints! The ’80s are back! The rule this season is more is more.
When you are out shopping this fall, make a list of the items that are missing from your wardrobe and take it with you. Your staples: a good coat, leather boots, good shoes, and a nice handbag. Then stick to your list so you will not be tempted to stray and pick up yet another impulse buy
CowGirl Style: The Wild West looms large this season. Western Cowgirls with a 1980’s twist. Studded belts, Cowboy boots, leather and fringes everywhere.
Tartan: Variations on a theme that seems to always attract attention. Preppy nostalgia, punky layering, and a sporting rendition.
The Scarf: This season the simple scarf has morphed into absolutely fabulous dresses and outwear. I have found a wonderful selection of scarves at Diva here in Lucerne so check out your local shopping scene.
