Positive affirmations connect the different realms of your self. I was taught that we have a subconscious, a conscious and a super-conscious. If all 3 work in harmony together we can create the life we want.
This week I want to talk with you about the connection of these three. They are you as a self.
Affirmation Of The Week
I feel powerful, because I know that the universe is always taking care of me.
Affirmations train the subconscious to first believe what you want to see in the world.
The most powerful ones are “I AM”-Affirmations. I work with my clients in the area of love, health and money. One affirmation should always be an “I AM” sentence. Examples of these are:
I am beautiful, I am strong or I am successful.
You can consider I am happy, I am loved, or I am appreciated.
I am the master of my life is very powerful.
The second important thing is that you choose affirmations that strengthen your self-esteem.
I love and accept myself exactly as I am.
Another is I feel strong and enthusiastic about all that I achieve.
I respect and honor myself the way I am right now.
You can feel the presence and strong power of these sentences. With repetitions you come to the point where you trust and believe them even when you are not in that state of mind now.
The secret of affirmations is to repeat them daily, at least twice a day – in the morning and in the evening – the less you believe in them the more change will be – they should challenge you – and a really good practice is to say them in front of the mirror out loud with a smile on your face.
Many people ask me what kind of religion lies behind this work. It is not one religion.
Every religion can work with affirmations and do so.
Friedrich von Schiller (1759-1805) said: “Under the cover of all religions lies the divine.”
A wise man was asked once: “What religion do you believe in?” His answer was: “No religion.” He was asked again: “Why no religion?” The answer of the wise man was then: “No religion, for the sake of all religions.”
Neurosciences already proved almost 2 decades ago, that affirmations work. They are not superstition at all, but an effective tool to shape your reality.
Focus On Your True Self
As already mentioned this week I want you to focus on your true self. For myself there is no self without a higher self. Of course, you might have another opinion on this.
I connect with my higher self as often as I want to and let affirmations “come down”. Your higher self – god – love – angels etc. can help you to find the right sentences in the given moment.
This practice needs time and courage. First of all you admit that there is a power greater than human beings and you surrender to this power.
So, even if you are agnostic or atheist I want to encourage you to work with affirmations.
These positive sentences – affirmations – connect us, no matter what we believe in.
These days we hear a lot of empowerment, especially the empowerment of women.
Self-love is the beginning of a life-long romance. (Oscar Wilde)
So let´s start with us first. No matter in what circumstances you live in, the relationship to yourself is priority number one. You are married to yourself your whole life. So make it a good match!
You can ask your inner guidance to lead you to the place, where affirmations are born. I learned that prayer is asking the inner guidance for help and meditation is listening to it.
In all areas of my life I am successful for the highest good of all.
I know that my inner guidance is leading my way perfectly.
Play with these examples and figure out what sentences suit you best.
When you trust your intuition (a common word for inner guidance) it will give you the affirmations you need. I recommend working with one affirmation at least 7 days, before changing it.
The super-conscious, inner guidance or intuition knows exactly what positive affirmations work for you.
Try to work with positive sentences you really like if you are not comfortable working with your spiritual guidance.
“I love myself.” is a really big one. You can start with “I like myself.”, if this is more comfortable to you.
